- Prayer for the Late Pope Francis and Our Mission of Evangelisation: Merciful Father, You called Pope Francis to be a bridge of peace and a beacon of hope in a turbulent world. With humility, gentleness, and courage, he brought Your Gospel to all people. Through his words, he inspired hearts; through his actions, he lived out the faith. With love, he embraced the poor and the abandoned, igniting a passionate flame for evangelisation in the universal Church. Lord, we thank You for giving us Pope Francis, Your faithful servant. Now that he rests in Your embrace, we ask You to grant him eternal light and peace, and may he continue to intercede for the Church from heaven. We also ask that You open our hearts, so that we do not shrink back at his passing, but instead, strengthened by his example, take up the mission of evangelisation with even greater resolve. May we spread Jesus’ mercy, truth, and hope — in our homes, our workplaces, in society, and to those on the margins. Lord, help us follow the teachings of Pope Francis: to step out of ourselves, to walk toward our brothers and sisters, to enter into the world’s suffering and darkness — and become instruments of Your Gospel, messengers of love and peace. Grant us courage and wisdom, so that we may face the challenges of this journey of faith with joy, trusting that the Holy Spirit walks with us and that You lead Your Church in proclaiming the good news of salvation. We ask all this through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
