Community Pastoral Council: Nominations closed on 27 March. We are now entering the “Nomination Eligibility Review and Consolidation” stage (28 March to 4 April). During this period, the preparatory team will review and filter valid, non-duplicate nomination forms, and assess whether nominees meet the basic eligibility requirements. A consolidated list will then be submitted to the Chaplain, Fr. John, for reference. All nomination details, including information about nominators and nominees, as well as the number of nominations, will be kept strictly confidential and will not be disclosed publicly.

The Chinese Catholic Community Brisbane would like to acknowledge the Turrbal and Jagera people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we meet today in Brisbane, Meanjin. We acknowledge and recognise their connections to this land, waters, and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Our community will present a Passion stage play on Good Friday:
“The Love on the Cross.”

The hands that were nailed to the cross were stretched out to embrace us.
The precious blood that was poured out was to cleanse us from our sins.
The silence of the cross reveals the deepest love.

Through prayer and reflection, may we once again experience the saving love of the Lord who gave His life for the world, and awaken in our hearts a renewed longing and response of faith. May this performance become an opportunity for us to renew our repentance and grow in love for one another.

Time and Venue: 3 April (Good Friday)
11:00 am – 12:00 pm (after the stations of cross)

Sacred Heart Centre
80 Nemies Road, Runcorn

You and your friends are warmly invited to attend and witness the love revealed on the Cross.
